Project Location: Deir Ammar & Zahrani Combined Cycle Power Plants, Lebanon
Technology: V94.2 gas turbines, Siemens & Ansaldo
Start Date: 2016
Status: Ongoing
Client Name: MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY & WATER
The contract, which commenced on 16 February 2016 and is still ongoing, covers not only the main power generation equipment but also all plant auxiliaries and balance of plant systems. This includes critical systems such as firefighting systems, a chlorination plant, a desalination plant, a demineralization plant, fuel unloading SPM, and a fuel oil treatment plant.
In addition to routine operations, Primesouth has conducted post LTE Major Overhauls and RCIE on the gas turbines—services specifically targeted at turbines that have exceeded 200,000 equivalent operating hours. The program also involved the complete rehabilitation of all HRSGs, including the replacement of all modules, ensuring that these vital components operate at peak performance. Major overhauls have been carried out on various balance of plant equipment, including gas turbine air intakes, exhaust diverter dampers, steam turbine condensers, desalination systems, firefighting systems, and critical pumps such as condenser extraction pumps and both high and low pressure feed water pumps.
Throughout the duration of the contract, Primesouth has consistently delivered high-quality services, ensuring maximum availability, reliable and efficient operations, and maintaining optimal performance across the entire facility.
