Steam Turbine Major Overhaul Services

Primesouth Lebanon S.A.L provides Steam Turbine Major Overhaul and Reconditioning Services. Our services include the following:

Rotors, Shafts & Discs Overhaul
Disassembly of rotor‐generator train including removal of rotor, blade carriers, and diaphragms. Inspection, welding or repair of shafts (bearing journals, coupling fits) and disc surfaces. Straightening bent rotors, balancing (low and high speed) post‐repair.

Blade, Diaphragm & Seals Work
Replacement or repair of blades (HP and LP stages), guide vanes, nozzles, diaphragms. Inspection and replacement of sealing systems (labyrinth seals, gland seals, etc.).

Turbine Casing & Shell Works
Removal and reassembly of upper and lower casing halves to access internals.
Inspection of casing integrity, inspection of stator path, cleaning (e.g. sand blasting), dimensional checks.

Bearings, Oil & Lubrication Systems
Overhaul of main bearings: inspection, clearance measurement, journaling, replacement if needed. Cleaning, flushing, servicing of lubrication and seal oil systems.

Valves, Control & Auxiliary Systems
Inspection & overhaul of stop, control, throttle, extraction, and trip valves; migration of valve seats, re‐sealing. Auxiliary systems refurbishment: turning gear, instrumentation, control systems, cooling systems.

NDT / Inspections
Advanced non‐destructive testing (e.g. ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant) of components such as casing, rotor, blades. Borescope inspections (in‐casings) to assess internal steam path, blade condition without full disassembly.

Re‐coating, Surface Treatment & Cleaning
Surface restoration: cleaning, blasting, polishing, applying coatings (e.g. protective coatings for wear or corrosion). Blade tips, diaphragms, guide vanes treatments as required.

Proven Experience
Over the previous years, Primesouth Lebanon S.A.L has conducted numerous Steam Turbine Major Overhauls. The Major Overhaul covered all the above services, disassembling rotors and casings, performing NDT and rotor repairs, replacing blades and seals, overhauling auxiliary systems, and executing surface and coating restorations. Our achievements have delivered improved reliability, restored thermal efficiency, and extended service life in challenging operating environments. All interventions were meticulously planned and executed in accordance with OEM standards and industry best practices, with minimal disruption to plant operations.
